There are cheaper hotels in the New Town or Vieux Nice, the Port is an area where most visitors to sleep on board ships.

But if that evokes an image of seafarers austere, nothing could befurther from the truth. The yachts moored in the port of Nice are elegant, bright and staffed crews livery.

Some girls look intake of silica bodies and not so real, but the Gucci, Rolex and Prada swimsuits are authentic.

Fortunately, however, need not be part of the clique yachty to fit in the dock of the bay, where most of the bars and restaurants have their feet on the ground and their prices (with the occasional exception of a very elegant - the rich also have to eat).

And just wander the streets here, there is a sense of a city which originated understand tourism as a profitable business, unlike theVieux Nice, where the predominant tone of a city is then convertedinto a business.

That said, it remains only a short walk to reach the Promenade desAnglais, the War Memorial splendid and magnificent views along the route from Pointe Rauba Capeu. Or walked through the antique shops of the street and take Catherine Ségurane the way back to town (must stop for a sweet confectionery shufti Florian and fast on the way to the flea market in Nice).
