I’m having trouble deciding exactly where to go, though.  Money is tight these days, so lately I’ve been spending a lot of time on the internet searching for cheap holidays to Goa.  There seem to be so many different options that have a pleasant climate, access to the ocean and delicious regional cuisine that I’d like to visit them all on my next holiday.  I’m just glad that I’ve got plenty of time to make a solid decision.

I’ve almost decided that we will go to south-western Turkey next year.  The more I read about it, the more intriguing and exciting it sounds.  I’d love to see the old, historic ruins and perhaps even stay in one of the tree house-style resorts that I’ve read about.  However, parts of Greece look inviting as well, and the Canary Islands are definitely a must-see at some point in the future.  Planning our next holiday has become an adventure in its own right–I just hope that it will be as pleasurable as the planning of it has been so far.

Go on a cruise, or book an all inclusive package. Your accommodation, food and some activities are usually included. Stay in a lovely villa by the sea and start your holiday in Athens. After a delicious breakfast you can head out and see the sites. Take a guided tour and visit the Acropolis and Omonia Square. You will be in awe of the Panathenian Stadium and the Parthenon. Another wonderful day trip takes you to Delphi which is home to the Temple of Apollo. Do not forget your camera as you will want to capture the ancient ruins.

Day cruises are quite popular in Greece. You can travel from Athens and visit the stunningly beautiful islands of Egina, Poros, and Hydra. Every cruise includes your transfers and transport, and most will serve you a delicious lunch.

If you prefer to set out on your own there are plenty of activities for you to enjoy. You can go windsurfing in Karpathos, which is an island between Crete and Rhodes, or go scuba diving in the Ionian Sea. You will be in awe of the archaeological sites that lay beneath the deep blue sea.

A trip to the isles is not complete without spending a couple of days in Crete which is the largest island in the Greece. Go hiking and explore the caves, or hire a charter and go fishing for the day. Other activities that should not be missed include the Botanical Gardens which are stunningly beautiful.

Greece has something for everyone, and if you want a holiday that you will remember for the rest of your life, start making plans and book your trip. You and your family will create memories that will be etched in your minds forever.
